Maya Zbrush import/export

Hi guys,

I'm pretty new here and I could not find any appropriate answer in older entries.

I made a modular piece made of a bunch of assets that I want to rotate around to a circular chamber. 

My problem is that my asset is offset in z so I can enter a value in y that it perfectly aligns to each other. 
But when I take it to Zbrush to make it look old and destroyed I need to dynamesh it but it's not working properly what can be fixed through unifying but that sets the object to the origin and scales every piece so I can't fit them all together anymore.


Is there a work around or do I need to set every piece to the origin and have to align them again afterwards? 

I hope my question is not to confusing.
