Semi-related, I had a problem with the Megascans Bridge related to asset importing... if you have a good number of zip files, it just takes forever. I can see it doing something for a while, then it gets caught up and it'll continue using CPU but isnt writing anything to disk, so its clearly not importing textures. I had to keep killing it and restarting it whenever it would stop utilizing the disk.
asset importing should really be done asynchronously, so the user interface doesn't lock up and you can still use the app while things are loading...
I'm having the same problem but re-installing and re-pathing does not fix it for me. I can see the material names on the left but no thumbnails appear and thus am unable to select anything.
Issues with Bridge are best resolved on our Live Support group on Facebook. We can bring our Bridge developer directly in touch with you to get this fixed up. It's significantly harder to do this on Polycount. Would you gentlemen be able to join us there?

sure, thanks mate, was not aware of the live support group.
I don't understand how Bridge is used except if your workflow is to have the downloaded zips and you are continually spawning new files from them.
For instance, if you or other staff already extracted the zipped files to your studio repository for ongoing use, and you don't want to create any new files for the assets, what do you do? How do you browse extracted content?
The expected workflow is to use the downloaded *.ZIP files from Megascans.se. If you're extracting them yourself, you're not allowing Bridge and Mixer to work in concert to build a library on your computer that the two tools can draw from to pool assets. Simply set your download path to where you place your *.ZIP files and allow Bridge to extract them for you in the specified Megascans repository folder.
i have a folder -Megascans - located in my drive with all my downloaded zip files, but my quixel mixer local library shows up empty. I have to import manually each time. The files are zipped and i have set my folder path correctly in the quixel preferences Local Library field. What am i doing wrong? i see mixer has created two new folders inside my Megascans folder - Custom and Downloaded-
Bridge and Mixer both work with downloads inside of the programs themselves. You'll need to redownload the assets from the applications in order to use them with the new library structure.
Hi Hellfire, please refrain from bumping 10 month old threads. If you'd like to report an issue, feel free to send us an e-mail via support@quixel.com so our developers can assist you directly.
