Hi everyone! I decided it was time to start my own sketchbook. Recently I've felt quite stuck in my own design and shape language, so I decided to try and break free from my usual thought pattern by doing more loose and scribbly stuff.
As a result, some of my sketches end up as little more than messy clusters of lines going everywhere and nowhere. If anyone has any feedback it is still highly appreciated though, even if there might not be much to comment on.
A few images I've done lately, to start with. As you can see, lots of fantasy so far. I'll try to expand to other things as well, such as sci-fi and creature design. For some of these I've used a photo reference for the pose.
those are awesome dude. I think the scribbliness is fine. but the first one is definitely the "worst" one, being on the a tad on scribbly side. nr 2, 3 and 5 are beautiful, love the flow of those lines and poses.
Lotet: Thanks man! I really appreciate your feedback, you are completely right about the first one being a little bit too messy. It's most likely due to it being among the first ones of the batch, I was sort of bound to fail with at least some of them.

Ye, I suspected as much =P
Have you though about adding color to these, either traditional or digital? also, the images are bit large to see properly, I would maybe scale em down like 10-20% or something. I have a decently sized screen and I can just see the whole piece without sctrolling.
Yes I actually have! I bought a set of red/orange and olive green tones in order to try out a simplified color scheme that could be used in a variety of ways. So far it has been working pretty nicely! Good point, I have scaled down these to 1400 pixles in height, hopefully it won't be an issue. Otherwise I'll just have to resize them again. Thank you again for the feedback!
Some great dynamic figures, with live in them, although I have the feeling you can 'overreact' some of the poses a bit, push it just a little bit further. I think it will make them stronger. I hope I make sense here
VividSombre: Thanks! Which mmorpg was it, if you don't mind me asking? Lyno, Thank you, making them feel alive is one of my goals as well, so that's awesome to hear! I'll try to push the poses even further. It indeed does make sense, I think I may be overusing certain poses as well, I'll try to be more creative with them!
cool, really like the first one of the new batch. I might want to model some of these in the future, il be sure to PM you if I need anything, but right now I have to much on my plate anyway.

Here's a couple more:
Adding these subtle colors really makes the characters, which already have such a good design, even better.
Keep up the great work!
I hope I make sense here

These are the sketches I tried posting earlier:
