[Wanted] Game Development interns
Dark Catt Studios, an independent Chicago based production studio, is seeking interns to help aid and learn from our team for a full VR and AR gaming design and creation team. We are looking to bring in people with an interest in learning about textures, props, characters, environments, engineering, and programming for game development to learn from and collaborate with our team members. We are looking for people with little to no experience in the field, wether you are a self taught or in school and looking to receive hands-on job training and learn skills for AR/VR gaming.
Responsibilities: In this position, you will be working with our game designers and developers to design and implement games:
- Learning and creating textures for stylized or realistic gaming environments and props
- Learning about deveoplment for AR/VR gaming software
- Compose and maintain an organized library
- Learn Unreal and Unity engines
- Meet deadlines set by team lead
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in using Photoshop
- Previous experience and/or knowledge a plus
- Unreal and Unity knowledge is a plus
Time: - 8-15 hours per week - 1-3 month commitment for the internship - Internship is unpaid but interns will have the opportunity to be brought on full or part time after the internship is over.
