I thought that it is the time to refresh my anatomy. Decided to create likeness of Michael Phelps, as he got quite an interesting and ripped body, also, it's easy to get references
Hey dude! Michael Phelps has pretty interesting anatomy going on, should be fun to sculpt. It's looking pretty good so far, but here are some things that immediately jumped out to me:
Just a few things to start on, but my main problem is that your sculpt is very linear and CG, it is lacking all of the depth and subtle concave and convex forms that make each human body unique and interesting.
I'm sure the head is WIP, but jumping into skin detailing so early on is making it quite lumpy. I'm seeing the likeness though! Gj so far.
That paintover helps a ton, I know what to look at
Regarding the sculpt looking like CG, would you have any advices in regards how to make it look more real ? I will probably start throwing some skin between muscles and break them a little in shape, but not sure that will help.
There is no skin detail yet, I usually throw a noise, because it makes me see things better, but its not baked into mesh.
