I am trying to make Hair cards like this
http://www.3dartistonline.com/news/2015/04/how-do-i-create-real-time-hair-for-games/ And I make it to step 8 and then when I try to make the UVs follow that step I get this problem
I get this right after I unfold the UV, also I just saw that when I move and sew the UVs mine just
fills up the UV .
I have no idea what is happening and I have looked around for a few days trying to find out.
Any ideas or suggestions would be great

super late edit: I forgot that adjacent faces can be welded but have inverted normals, which move&sew will refuse to do. Mesh Display>Conform to fix that.
