Regarding your works, (and really like Im a student too so don't take this too seriously) but I'd say a trend I'm seeing is lack of foundation. I like the direction you're taking with, influence of african designs which we don't get to see often in designs. But in terms of rendering and anatomy, instead of focusing on creating the final product I'd say make a lot of practice studies of volumetric painting, see how the lighting should work, and basically just basic anatomy.
I really recommend checking out a book called Figure Drawing: Design and Invention by Michael Hampton. It really gives you a starting point on approaching anatomy, helped me out loadss too.
