Hello guys !
I decided to sculpt Gideon from MTG for practice. I'll be posting some WIPs here along the process of his creation.
Lets start with my major reference :
His armor vary from art to art so I will probably combine elements to achieve a good result.
I'm curently working full-time, so I'm creating this thead to have more motivation to work daily and post WIPs here. Hope to hear some responce from you guys
I decided to start with a shield, seems kinda stupid I guess, but that what I felt doing at the time.
Used my favorite "topology" method to create clean decoration.
Here is what turned out from it :
Did it quickly - 2h tops, cheesy materials for now
dirt and damages will come later !
Did shoulder pad. Then stopped being lazy and resculped it, using the topology brush.
Looks cleaner, right ?
I used the base male anatomy mesh I did a while ago, adjusted proportions and started working on the face and blocked out the armor pieces, but since I like doing the decorations too much, couldn't stop so here you are :
