Blockout Party! Share your Blockouts!

We are all so used to seeing final images that we forget how much work and planning goes into these projects. We forget that blockouts are a great way to exercise our minds and get our ideas out fast while having the ability to be non-committal. As in, no fear of throwing the project away or leaving it be.

So, please share your blockouts here, finished, unfinished, or to be finished. If you have a finished image, please post it along side with it or later when it is finished I'll probably post a few blockouts without completed images.

I just started this one, a tutorial from 3dmotive. I'm hoping to make it dweamer themed like in skyrim. I'm also a long time maya user trying to learn 3dsmax. Modeling these props in max should help me understand the program more. I also really want to get better at hand painting things. I love painting ceramics in real life and 3d coat seems right up my ally.

I also started this house for an arch viz project. Here's the blockout and reference for that... (its slightly past blockout, sorry! lol) I'm actually hoping to complete it over the next few days to apply for a job. You can't see it here, but a floorplan image plane is the best blockout buddy ever :P

This one I did a few months back. I'm still really into castles, but blocking them out with a floor plan you can walk around in is a challenge. I bought these castle blocks in real life (because, kid toys, yay!) but I wasn't satisfied with the number of pieces and the cat kept knocking the ideas over. So I created the same modular pieces in 3D and played with them in unreal  instead (upgrade! big girl toys! lol) Here's that image and some of the modular pieces:

I probably won't do anything else with this one, but it was a nice correlation to a piece in my reference:
