Im trying to figure out a way to post my model in a web viewer so my client can preview it for accuracy. The problem is the HP model is almost 10M poly, and artstation or sketchfab wont support that. Does anyone have any other ideas ?
Do you have your own site? If you do, toss it up there in a folder that's not easily accessible to a Google search. If you know someone who does, you can have them host it.
i would be curious to hear if a model this complex can even be loaded into a browser-based viewer such as the marmoset one. you'd think that a file this big will exceed all sorts of limits of the host browser for starters. at any rate load times will be crazy, as will likely be viewport performance. but let us know please if it works at all.
alternatively you can surely reduce the complexity of your model down a notch or two?
Victory ! - The model ended up being around 40mb after export from marmoset. The FBX was about 75mb I just sent over the HTML and Scene File which loads in firefox just fine. Since its a locally load, it was like 5 seconds
