Warhammer Dota2 Submission Deadline?

I was reading the post about the Warhammer/Dota 2 contest http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?t=195486 and am a little confused about the deadline.  It says it runs till August 29th, but the winners will be picked no later than the 22nd.  What does that mean?  Does it mean the actual deadline is the 22nd, then?

Curious, and confused.
The reason I ask is, that for me, finally allowing myself the time, would be a little skeptical about being able to make a set in the time remaining from now.  I would like to, but if about 10 days, I think it would be no cigar for me.

They changed the post if anyone was wondering.  Probably due to two_larsens' question in the dev dota2 forum.

Submissions will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. (PDT) on August 22nd, 2016,

This is what I read: "Entries are open from 10:00 am Pacific Daylight Savings Time on April 29th, 2016, to 10:00 am Pacific Standard Time on August 29th, 2016"

It would be great if that could be clarified.

Aaaah... Had the 29th noted down. That's gutting. So close to finishing...

I still learned a lot and maybe I can repurpose my sculpt, although that feels a little tacky. Clearly I should have spent more time reading the competition rules, live and learn!

You did read it right, depending on where you read it.  I would say they didn't write it right, in their Dota dev post, which unfortunately was the one I think a lot of people read as a link on the Polycount Dota 2 thread.
