We submitted our intentions to participate in the contest to Reallusion with the 3 criteria.  We received an email from Reallusion requesting what software we had to avoid the special edition.  We responsed we need the special edition to export an fbx or obj character to modify.  We're waiting for a link to download.

We received an email today regarding the special edition, and we installed.  We selected the basic nude female semblance, proportioned, modified the hair semblance and colored, put on swimsuit bottom and top and colored,  colored shoes, end exported.  We intend to modify the clothing, and perhaps the actress semblance, then rig and import.  We might abandon the red boot guy.

Two months engaged thinking about contest, and wanting that marvelous designer software $550.  Tried a 3d model semblance with blender, cutting off portions to make a shirt hollow inside, and attached with skeleton (pinned).  Looked terrible.  Modified the female semblance, and submitted.  Tried making the guy at 932,132 faces.  Decimated with blender at .07 to 65,528.  Having a problem with the rig software exporting as fbx and no color.  Keep trying.  Saw one entry, a soldier semblance; looks incredible.  Why try?

USE AT YOUR RISK; do not use abusively.

Submitted entries 2 and 3 videos, using the biped guy semblance with the red boots and blue shirt.  There is much to type regarding these 3d ventures.  From seeing the Sci Fi movies with vfx effects, trying to find what software they used, and then the forest sky waters software.  Seeing animation movies, and also wanting.  And then the big breakthrough with iClone.  The complexities, and the excellent tutorials.  Learning regarding an iAvatar, trying to make our own.  Rigging; how?  Finally accessed to software and yet our models lacked the realism.  Textures, uv, and the difference clothing makes wth Marvelous Designer.  Marketing strategy, and expensive software.  Having to decide, $500 for software, or buying real clothing for myself.  A dentitst wanting $3000 to fix a tooth, and participating with the contest with a toothache and headache pain.

USE AT YOUR RISK; do not use abusively.

Update: The contest culminated with winners announced and their accomplishings commendable.  We did not win, but we did not lose.  We experienced the desires for access to some of the software prizes, very expensive for our access budget.  We used the red boot guy in several more videos, and then recently when this was composed, we splurged and bought Marvelous Designer, and also Zbrush.  In retrospect we summize the contest was about using Character Creater, and modifying a semblance, and using the semblance in a storyline video.  We prefer to make our own.  But the contest was an experience, and we perhaps not purchasing the software modeling stuff if not for the contest, subsequently our thanks to the contest organizers and sponsors.  We still have the toothache problem.
