Performance Feedback

Hey Everyone!

This is a performance piece I have been working on. I've hit a bit of a roadblock and would love to hear your thoughts on what could be improved. It's still a work in progress and the hands are yet to be animated.

It's coming along great. Here's a few things I think can be improved.
    • The first wall should probably have a reason to fall over. The way the second wall falls down because he's stomping.
    • It feels like he puts the ball down then moves out of the way. It could be adjusted to feel like one motion.
    • The character doesn't move up and down when he scoots out of the way. I think it should be more of a lunge than just jogging.
Here is a quick sketch of my idea. Lunges with a downward motion. Lets go of the ball as he rises back up. Makes himself skinny as the wall almost grazes him. And he ends facing the wall. After this he can back pedal a couple of steps and throw the tantrum.

    Thanks Monster!  =)

You have no idea how helpful this is! I really appreciate you taking the time to sketch the idea. I only got reference for the tantrum and animated the lunge off the top of my head. Your lunge looks way better! I will defiantly rework it.

I have a basic environment mock up with a conveyor belt moving small packages behind the big blocks. When the initial block falls it looks like it has been knocked by something moving along the conveyor belt. I will upload a gif of it when I get a chance.

    Thanks again bud

Dont use gifs. They look nice in the thread, but they are terrible for critiquing things. Use http://syncsketch.com/ isntead. You dont have to sign up. you just upload a video and it will allow us to do draw overs with ease.
