Hiya. I am studying a diploma of screen and media. We have been given a brief "to design a character that looks different in form to a human" and then gain feedback on the Silhouette Character Designs that you have created from a professional forum. Keep in mind that I am new to this, have had to relearn the latest Photoshop CC (my last Photoshop was CS4). Please and thank you
It's tough, but try to refrain from diving into internal details like fingernails or shading yet. Silhouettes are a good exercise because they force you to simplify the design into larger masses. A strong silhouette will read equally well when reduced to a very small size. It may actually help for you to start drawing small, and then enlarge your silhouettes as necessary.
Yes, you are correct. I did spend too much time on fingernails. It was my first time using photoshop cc on one of the characters. I was playing with the brushes and wacom tablet rather than concentrate on the actual brief. Thank you

Keep going!
