Welcome to the Monthly Environment Art Challenge Concept thread.
We are currently discussing some changes to the structure of the Monthly Environment Challenges in this thread; please provide your input there should you have any suggestions or ideas for how these Challenges can be improved.
For August we've decided to do a Prop only, as we got a bit of a late start this month. In coming months we'll move back to some variation of the Prop + Environment combo.
Edit: Because we got off to a late start this month we'd like to try and make a selection by the end of this weekend, if possible - so dig up those old pinterest concept libraries and get to voting!!
Vote by copying the concept you'd like to see for the month.
Please post a concept with your vote to give more options.
Not sure if this counts an a prop or not but whatever It's from this guy's https://www.artstation.com/artist/dune gallery, he has some othe dope houses there
Going to throw this one into the mix... sorry if its a bit too much or over ambitious... dont have a great deal of experience with environments but want to give it a go!
From Jonathan Dufresne... awesome work, hopefully he wont mind me throwing it up here! http://jonathandufresne.com/
I was thinking maybe we should include a real object instead of a concept or concept from actual video games. So something like Bioshock infinite bottle would be interesting to do. So you can compare against an in game prop or real object. Also, it would help if you have a front, back and side view.
Hey guys!
Here are some art works from myself.
If you would like to model it, just take it and give me a link when you finish it.
Really thanks for the invite from Harford.
By the way, English is not my major language.
So if I said wrong sentence, please correct me.
Thank you!
His environment concept is very cool too, but I would prefer the Props.
Bioshock bottles look fun to do, especially since we can see the silhouettes of multiple designs. I found these on ArtStation. Links to the artists are underneath each section.
Great concepts guys. Let's stick to props for August seeing as we only have 3 weeks to complete something.
@jwills and @ylm Great finds! Let's keep those on hold for the September Challenge like both of those...
In the interest of choosing a prop sooner than later, please remember to cast your vote. So far the Bioshock bottles and @Doxturtle helmets have votes.
I would love a challenge with anything from Chu, seriously, she has so much good stuff for a challenge like that. My favorite one for the challenge would be this:
Edit - Since I double-posted and there's no way of deleting my comment, I will use this one instead of making another new post. So, I think that if you use a poll we would get more votes. We would just have to add the ones until now and that's it, instantly more votes!
And my vote goes to the truck concept from Daniel Graffenberger
I thought that might be the case! Very well, I will include both concepts for this month to give some options.
I'll go ahead and make the new thread for this month. Please bare with me as I haven't received the thread materials yet so the graphics will be a work in progress.
Thanks all for your patience as I get up to speed on getting these things together. I'm awfully excited to get in and participate with these awesome concepts this month!
As always if you have any suggestions or comments please let me know.

Ancient Relics
I think it has the perfect mix of things going on to make a cool challenge.

When will we decide which one we will do for the rest of the month?
Thanks for all the entries all! Really looking forward to this one
Edit: I'll hold my vote should there be anymore entries before this evening
If there are strong feelings that we do both I will include the two props in the August thread as it is essentially a tie
I had to work late last night, apologies for the delay in getting the thread started. I'll have it up this afternoon.
