Good evening community! I am new to this site and also to 3D modeling.Well I am working on my own game, pretty much finished the logic part and I am sick of the placeholders so it's time for some modeling! I am practicing for some time now, I don't know, 3-4 months maybe? Anyway, I love modeling environment assets! Static stuff! But when it comes to humanoids, oh man! The horror! I was wondering if it is a good move to separate the work on humanoids, let's say, I create the head and paint it separately, I create and paint separately the legs, hands, accesories...etc and then combine the UVs and make an atlas with those textures. I find it easier for me at least and I do not get lost in a big mesh. Any tip or guideline is welcomed! I am so terrible at this and I am so jealous on what I see on polycount
Thank you guys! Cheers!
