PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- UE4 technical art solutions across disciplines
- Technical Asset Approval
- Asset Quality Checks
- Optimization
- Gameplay-related asset integration
- LODs (Simplygon)
- Destruction meshes
- Custom gameplay metadata
- Documentation (Internal and for mod tools)
- Pipeline Improvements
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated results increasing the quality and performance on at least one shipped title through technical art support
- Unique strengths in materials, shaders, characters, modeling, animation or any other art discipline are highly desirable
- Experience working on large, open world projects
- Experience working in a team environment using Unreal Engine 3 or 4
- Understanding of terrain creation tools such as World Machine, Vue, etc
- Ability to achieve high fidelity results within limited performance and time budgets
- Knowledge of PBR material workflows using industry-standard software such as Substance Painter / Designer, Quixel, etc.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
