Hey everybody,

I've been doing some tests since i'm making an object that consists of a lot of different sub-objects that have symmetry applied to them to save texture space. A fairly simple object of this is the barrel below:

The edges of the bake came out quite smooth with almost no artifacts so i'm happy with the result. However my goal is to get every sub-object together with the symmetry so i can paint it easier. The problem is that i don't quite understand the process of this. If i simply try to apply symmetry to this object and bake it using the same cage and highpoly model i get this as a result:

And i'm quite clueless on how to fix this problem. Would it help to collapse the symmetry modifier in 3dsmax and then moving uvs of the other half to the next uv tile? (i haven't tested this yet since i don't find a way to properly move and snap my uvs to a different tile)

I hope i gave enough information regarding my question.
