So after having watched a couple of great UE4 tutorials, such as Thiago Kafke's office environment and David Lesperance's intro to game art, among others, i've decided it was time to create my first UE4 environment and decided to remake the Shadowrun returns morgue scene. some reference images
There's a lot to be done, some roughness passes still need tweaking and im still not sure how i'll be tackling lighting aspect. Also thinking about creating a different ceiling for the morgue room, more similar perhaps to the first concept image. Progress shots
Still need to work on the brick texture, a lot of props to add, give it a more scifi look and keep tweaking the lighting to find the right mood. Had some trouble doing the door curtains, they ended looking horrible with an opacity map to give it translucency. Going to have to check a few more tutorials on materials before i get back to it.
Well im calling this one done. Didn't quite end up like i wanted it too, but i'm glad with the result. Could've modeled a couple more props to fill the space up and added some dust particles to the volumetric lighting, but i've spent enough time already on this project, onto the next one.
