This a project I am trying to build up for my portfolio. I am trying to make some 3d character art, from concept to 3d.
His name is Pete and he has a shotgun (hence the name). He is a very rebellious guy, trying to escape from some unfriendly foes.
The pic below is on of my first sketches. I'll post other images of the all process.
I posted this project because I like to interact with other people, therefore C&C are more than welcome.

Keep us updated and good luck with the project.
Thank you for the comment
I am doing another head for the model, then I will make the same process of studying for the body also.
it's the glasses, but I do like that concept. you have to start at a much lower sub level cause you are losing control over your shapes like in your last sculpt.
Still I would appreciate if you can teach me a more efficient way to produce the model.
Thanx for the comment by the way
basically, since you already have the general shape of the head formed, you have to switch to a clean mesh before you add the details.
add a few zremesh guide lines (you can find it in the brush palette) before you remesh to impose the desired contour lines like so:
as an added bonus, you should try to have the eyeballs as separate subtools and hollow out the eye, it will help a lot. by having the eye as a still object you are then forced to sculpt the eyelids around the eyes giving it a much more realistic feel (and its good for anatomy practice).
The eyes are separate and I already adjusted a bit (they were too big). Basically I duplicated the subtool of the face, zremeshed it to 1000 polys, added more levels until he had a lot of detail and then projected the hi def to the low def.
I'll leave the head now for a while and move on to the neck and torso. I studied the proportions before and I know how to measure it in zbrush, so I'm not to bothered with the whole pic now. I'm trying to exercise some anatomy as well.
By the way, it is an one hour sculpt, more or less. I take more time doing sketches of anatomy first.
Always grateful for the comments. I'll keep posting.
I recon that if I design a good facial expression with a nice vibe into it, it will boost me for the rest of the character.
I watched some tutorials for designing faces and I came up with this... It is not finish (of course) but I liked this process.
Tell me what do you think
Could I use this one for the body?
