I finally came around to upload the images for the DLC of Halo 5. I have been working with amazing people
Adam Peterson, Ryan Roth, Shawn and Erik Amezcua - Environment artist, Josh Dean - Lighting artist.![](https://us.v-cdn.net/5021068/uploads/editor/46/qnwyralu76ef.jpg)

I don't rely on the texture to make a variety of the value. Instead I consider lots of layers and depth to create a variety of the value in design and modeling pass. Therefore first image and second image gives same visual impact regardless of the texture.

right side has a more soft and thicker composition than left side has a more longer and thinner detail.

I use bit darker texture on the inside of the dark pocket and bright one on the bright area to emphasize the contrast of the value.

I made a back side of the tower very simple to create detail contrast between back and rest of the sides.
뒷면은 다른 부분과는 차별화가 나게 아주 심플하게 만들었다.

detail on inside seems very complex, but it is quite organized by having minimal change of the angle.
옆면의 트임은 상당히 복잡해 보이지만 동시에 심플하다. 각도를 최소한 하고 어두운 밸류는 맨 안쪽에서만 만들어서 공간감을 만들었다.
