Marvelous designer 5 how to get a transparent pattern (only in 2d pattern window)

Hey i'm pretty new to marvelous designer i'm using the latest version and i'm following a small tutorial but in the tutorial. The pattern in the pattern windows is transparent does anyone know how to do that?
