edge flow question...

Im trying to put a dart into the side of an object (and have creased its edges). However, when I subdivide I get pinching (Im assuming because Ive got that try there).

 would somebody be able to show how i should create this kind of feature?

Using a blinn or phong material as you model helps exaggerate the pinching

oh wow thanks! - i think this is where me using the crease tool isn't doing me any favours :-/  Ive found the crease tool so handy as it lets me avoid getting into managing lots of edge loops. Im guessing in this case it may not be possible.

actually that edge flown still works even with the crease tool - excellent - thanks again!

I'm glad it works! I've personally found bevelling the edges to be best for hard surface and then fixing the edge flow

Yes, creasing is wonderful but still requires placement of control edges as it suffers the same as sub-d modeling where poles are concerned.
