Quest to finish my first creature (Finished!)

So this is a little creature I started with a rough deadline of 2 weeks (9 days in so far) to Model/retopo/texture it to keep myself from dragging the project out. Every one of my other characters ends up taking too long getting bogged down in details, so (hopefully) this will be my first character I ever finish.
Creature background: It's a quick and agile, it uses a long tongue to consume grubs and certain saps. Its body is very streamlined because when it is not on land, it is an avid swimmer where it kicks its long legs back and flutters them. It doesn't have eyes and instead has sensory organs that can focus on smells, heat, and several wavelengths of radiation and those get interpreted by its brain(s?) into something similar to what we can see.

I'm interested to hear some suggestions. Right now I'm trying to nail down my color choices but any suggestions are welcome (please note the legs and hands have nothing but base textures going for them currently)
