I feel that man, I'm on vacation at the moment and my laptop can run 3DS at a solid 30 FPS. Thing sounds like a jet engine turbine.
Few different angles here. Again screen grabs just mixed up in Paint. Gives a general idea how its shaping up. Almost fully done now. just gunna have another look at the scope. and then need to work on the ammo curl. In the concept art its a few cylinders with some detail but its hard to see.
Any suggestions on improvements let me know Going to aim to texture it PBR realism and then maybe a stylised like CS.GO skins.
Did a quick bit of work on the cells . Not happy with em 100%. But theyll do for now. As far as i can make out they aren't ammo but more power cells. So made a case with 6 magnet coils inside each one which would spin making power. All in all 52 cells for the whole thing. Probs make a glass cover.
Any suggestions to make them better or any ideas for replacements are 100% welcome. Might take a lil break from this and either move on to a real world gun or another StarCitizen concept.
Sooooo...Think I finally finished the Highpoly. Gunna take a break from this and work on a handgun sci fi design for a while. Comments and critiques are more than welcome. Below is the concept. Ive stuck fairly rigid to it. But added in a few design elements of my own. Think the biggest difference is the glowing part around the Grip. I couldnt make it out in the design. So created like a laser coil thing majig which is what the light is. Can see it more closely in the top right.
Any comments and critiques are more than welcome and in fact I urge you to tell me what could make it better!. Textures and low poly to come!

also for showing hipoly screens, it's best to have a medium-dark material with a medium-low gloss and high specularity so the edges are more visible
