Hi, everyone.

This summer I'm doing some independent study with two professors. I honestly thought that it would be more involved with the teachers (I just finished the 3rd week with no responses to my weekly updates).

Until yesterday, that is.

I received the following e-mail (I included my initial message for clarity's sake):

The image I sent:

The sketch I based my model on (I designed all the armor before I know how much trouble hard surfaces in Zbrush would give me):

I guess I'm coming here for a second opinion, in addition to a helping of humble pie and/or feedback/guidance on this piece in general. I mentioned to my wife a couple days before the e-mail arrived that I thought the character was kinda "Same-y," (since she doesn't play games or know much about this sort of thing she suggested that she couldn't offer appropriate advice) so I agree with that comment from my professor. I'm also currently attempting to expand a belt out but am having difficulty (so I agree with that, too). I always hate the kids in class who think they know better than every professor, so I want to incorporate advice...

But I like the horns the way they are.

Here are some changes I scribbled up real quick. Beefed up his neck and shoulders, so they could hold up his horns:

Is the initial concept's armor interesting enough that I should just dump his current attire and hard surface the living daylights outta him?

Feedback would be greatly appreciated, and thank you for your time.
