Heya! So I wouldn't change the color based on the little context I have here. Maybe if he's against a really blue sky background then it wouldn't be very visible, but I don't think that's a problem. What I DO recommend, however, is to play with the contrast in the forms! I like the silhouette that you're exploring in the new one, but it's hard to see where the belly starts and the legs end, the bottom of the jaw, etc. Try making the belly lighter or darker in order to make the legs and face more legible. Great start! He's really cute!
