Really like your style! The face looks very appealing;) Dunno how far you want to strive from the concept but I´d add the plane break on the leaf shaped plates on the helmet for more visual interest.
Hey there, I really like it! I would suggest you push that neck and head back a little, at the moment it looks too far forward to me and not in alignment. Great work
Hey @Popol, this is already looking cool. I really like how you make these faces appealing in your projects. I'm unsure but the thighs seem a bit too long to me though. Looking forward to the outcome of this project.
@Amaury I'll make normal/spec/gloss as well. I actually just made a render test of the face in marmoset.
So here's a first render test for the lowpoly head. I'm kinda satisfied with the result but I think it could be pushed much more. So don't hesitate to drop some feedback, this is the main reason I post here.
Looking nice overall! with this new close up on the face, I now think her nose is a tad thin/narrow. her upper lip could use some definition, it dosnt look as sharp as it could be, its kind of just blending into the rest of the face right now.
Damn this is cool looking man, love paul's concepts and you're doing a good job matching the style. After writing this i saw at the top of the thread you might not be trying to 100% match the concept and these are pretty much written with that in mind, so take 'em with a pinch of that salt!
Right now i'd say both her nose and mouth look too small overall, and as lotet mentioned the lips seem to fade into the face, whereas they are very voluptuous and highly defined in the concept. Her eyebrows are drawn much lower and set slightly wider apart, got that resting bitch face going on, but that could just be you opting for a more neutral modelling pose. I'd also say you could go a lot more crazy with the hair chunks, really push the length. Away from the face everything else looks pretty solid detail wise, i see you're straying from the concept in some areas but i assume it's intentional as you're adding new stuff. I think you could go bigger with those shoulder wingalings, and the opposite shoulder guard seems a little skinny, concave and pointy compared to the chunky look in the concept. Paul also drew her with much thicker legs than you've given her and a narrower waist that really highlights the super wide hips, there's also a lot of cool form changes he always draws into his chicks' pelvis region which i think you could really benefit from, all the anatomical landmarks seem kind of soft and smoothed over right now.
Excited to see more anyway dude, subbed for updates
I haven't worked on this since my last update in august. I kinda like to work in cycles on my big personnal project as I have a way better critical eye on my own work after not looking at it and making other stuffs for several months.
With the ArtWar behind me I'm getting back on this until the next Artstation challenge.
Made some changes to the face according to the feedback I was given, worked out how the visor would work and tried out a way to make the hair (still have to make the whole haircut this way).

I've been blocking out the armor so far. I still have to figure out the arms then I'll jump into 3dsmax for the hard surface modeling.
Some more progress on the body, cleaning up the rough sketch and turning it into clean mod.

Are you still working on this? I am eager to see it finished.

I'm currently finishing my entry for the ArtWar Challenge : https://forums.cubebrush.co/t/art-war-3d-the-widow-popol/1874
But I'm getting back on Fiora in March, I like this project too much to let it rot
good luck with your artwar entry
Nice entry btw, gonna follow this as well.
Cheers!
