A build engineer at YAGER sits at the border of tools programming, IT and the development teams.
Our core job is maintaining and extending the build coverage to make sure we have shippable builds conforming to first party needs. In addition we help set up and maintain automated tests for code and content. We have a big online component in our game and are building ways to handle deployment in different environments and enabling debugging there as well.
Together with IT we are continuously looking into ways to improve deployment of SDKs or other mandatory software using configuration management.
On the tools side we help setting up workflows for local developer work, both via automation/tooling and researching what is possible on the new consoles.
