Hi, I need to make a Flowmap for a complex 3D model.
It will be used to define the direction/distortion of the texture applied to the model, not to animate it.
I need to paint directly onto the 3d model; because it's UVs are complex, I cannot paint it onto the 2D Map.
Any ideas?

Have yet to test it in complex circumstances but, so far, it seems to be working well. I've seen others do it inside MARI so there is that possibility as well. There are more workflows on the wiki: http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Flow_map
Many of them don't rely on painting in 3D but modifying the texture in 2D though.
