Hey everyone!
With the help of a humble Kickstarter campaign we launched the first chapter of The Song of Seven on Steam! As of now we're at a 96% rating!
"The Song of Seven is a single player third-person adventure game. Solve environment/inventory based puzzles, engage in meaningful conversation, and explore a world full of mystery."
http://store.steampowered.com/app/433590/"Explore how everyday fears keep us from our full potential in a profound but family-friendly, humorous way. Aspiring musician Kiba and impulsive inventor Emma wander a beautifully rendered world, solve challenges, and meet unusual people. They discover how fears manifest and how to conquer them."
The company is now split into two focuses :
1. WiiU/PS4 development of Chapter One.
2. Chapter Two Development.
I have begun creating 'inspirational' concepts for chapter two. Meaning, I want to get a vibe for it's themes and tone before we start writing/designing the game.
Consistent direction is very important to me throughout the development process. This was something we took very seriously in the first chapter, and feel that was one area we were very successful.
So here is the first image I painted :
I'll be going into more detail over time in what my goals are. As is game development, I am in the process of trying to understand my artistic intuition for this title.
In the coming weeks, I'll also be streaming the entire process!

Here is a first pass at the Chapter Two overworld map. Also known as Sancia Island. The overworld is representational of the physical environment. It serves as an efficient method to make the world feel larger than it is.
I have a very basic idea of what all the main areas will be - as the specifics become more refined, so will this.
