Hi all, so ive recently gottten to grips with the zbrush interface (tricky stuff for a novice) anyhow i thought id try my hand at creating a bust as ive never really made anything noteworthy in terms of a character. The end goal is to hopefully create a lifelike representation of the ufc fighter Chuck Liddell (or as close as i can get it at this stage in my ability)
Anyhow here are a couple reference images im using and a screenshot of where im currently at scultping out the main forms (73k points)
All critiques and recommendations for how i should proceed are much appreciated

-Try blocking out your sculpt early on before you start subdividing it
-Don't start detailing until you have all features and volumes in place
Good Luck!
Ill keep the thread updated

As you can see he keeps everything fairly low poly untill there is use for more and generally you should not go higher before more polys are needed. Ignoring this often leads to lumpy models and poor proportions. I would also suggest trying out the see through feature in zbrush to get the parts of the face in place, it's a good way to learn how it all fits together when you are starting out. Keep at it!
So ive been away doing a lot of university work and ive made a brand new attempt at a head with a lot more success. Its not by any means the best in the world and i wasnt following any particular likeness but id love to post it here and get any feedback in general to general shapes and proportions of what ill call "an average male head/face"
cheers guys!
