I've recently been to Rome and got inspired by the catacombs I've seen. So I start a WIP thread here to make Unreal Engine 4 catacombs set. I got a moodboard and finished blockout last week. I'm hoping to post updates every couple of days and I'm looking forward for some criticism and advices. This is the progress I've made so far.
Swap all your images for JPEGs please! There's some weird distortion in the images, I can't quite put my finger on it. Chromatic Aberration? I'd maybe tone it down a bit moving forwards
I hope it is better now. All the images resaved in .jpg. And yes, it's chromatic aberration in post-process. I agree. Too much. Will post updates soon.
Update! Added a lot of new assets. Still planning to add more. Not too happy about black shadows on the edges of the bricks. Increasing lightmap size didn't do anything. Neither did manual vertex direction fix. Still working on it.
The dark edges looks like a normal map problem, are the edges creased and have you made sure the smoothing groups are not causing this? I think overall it looks too clean and even, what I mean is easiest to see in the room with the stone tablet, the assets just kind of sit there with little cohesion, add some dirt in corners, spiderwebs, small rocks, cracks in the walls e.t.c. and it'll look better. This is a bit of a problem in the other rooms as well but it's most obvious there. Keep at it!

There seems to be a problem with either your normal map or your light map on the archway piece
