Anybody using Dell i7559 laptop for CG works?

Damn, after selling that particular model for the same amount of money I spent on it I just found a damn good deal on an identical model on the web. I might need it for a class this Fall and I don't think I won't find a cheaper deal for a while.
But my question is, is that model decent enough for CG works? I am a Modo user learning modeling primarily, and I might also use 3D Coat and Substance Painter on the side. Is Dell i7559, possibly with 16GB RAM upgrade, good enough for decent modeling works?
