Update 28-8-2016:
___________________________________________________________
Here are some screenshots of an environment I've been working on outside of work for a few weeks. I think I'm getting close to calling it finished, but there still are some things I want to improve. Feedback is more than welcome!
I did notice quite a huge difference in brightness between my two screens. It currently looks a little too bright on my good screen, but way too dark on my older screen. Please let me know if this is way too dark, then I'll upload some brighter screenshots!

What types of lights are you using?
Hi Malatoar,
it's very interesting the furnace that you had designed, maybe I would give more importance to it, adding more lights that come out from the inside to warm the scene.
@Benvox2: yea, it took a while to configure the high resolution screen shot to look similar to my actual scene, but I also had some issues with my screen's brightness. I hope I fixed that now! I'm using both point lights, spot lights, and a directional light.
@GameArtifact: I was thinking about that, but feared adding more lights would just make it noisy. I might still play around with it, though.
@amirabd2130: Thanks!
Here are slightly brighter versions of the scene, I hope this is more visible!
I also set up my ground shader to now blend between two materials, I just have to create the textures for the ground variation. (yes, the bright yellow stuff is placeholder!)
The ground shader is using a noise mask in combination with world space to get rid of the tiling a little bit.
Let me know what you think!
I had some time to make a few high polys and bakes, so here's the scene with some of the proxies replaced by meshes with AO and Normals. The filler mesh for the carts obviously turned out quite bad, so I'll be redoing that.
Feedback is always welcome!
Would love some feedback!
And I still don't know how to embed Marmoset Viewer, so here's a link instead: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/XOVAD
I'm going to call this finished so I can start on a new project, but feedback is still more than welcome!
The minecart in the middle looks like it has a repeating texture. Could it be different?
Actually I prefer the darker version. your last image is a little too bright IMO.
