Hi all,
I've been having a odd issue with Viewport 2.0 and Maya 2016. When I use Viewport 2.0, I can see the verts/edges that are not immediately visible. When I switch back to legacy viewport, it all fixes itself.
Has anyone run into this issue? Images below.
I've tried playing around with the backface options (Display > Polygons) and nothing seems to work.
Update: I've tried changing Viewport 2.0 from OpenGL to DX11 and deleting Maya prefs. Neither has worked.

Did you change the scale of your model or unit preference. Maybe in relationship to your clipping plane values?
If the same happened to me. In addition to checking the above I'd see what effect camera position had in relation to different clipping values. ( zooming in and out to different clipping extremes )
Are any faces/edges/verts part of selection sets or layers? How's the history on the model? Try Mesh>Clean
Here's how it's looking on another piece. It's not a huge deal but those extra verts behind can be pretty distracting when the model is further along.
