For a while now I have wondered if it is possible to link high and low poly mesh's inside either Zbrush or Maya.
My dilemma is that I have a HP and a LP as two separate meshes and I want to make an adjustment on the LP and for it to effect the HP. I know i can have divisions in Zbrush but I don't want this.
When I move the faces on the LP I want the HP to be linked so it moves with it.
I tried using the soft selection in Maya with the global feature turned on but the results are varied.
Does anyone have any ideas or a solution to this??
any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I tried combining the mesh and moving it but it has the same effect.
I am essentially trying to use the LP as a cage of sorts, zbrush's divisions can work but I would have to project hi res floating geometry onto a 800 poly LP which gives me so pretty bad artifacts.
Don't know if I'm over complicating it but im sure there must be a way of doing it.
Thanks for your help dude XD
That sound like what i'm after
How do I use the LP as a cage deformer? I found the lattice deformer, is there somewhere I need to load the LP in?
Thanks
Tom
One thing with the wrap deformer is that there is no connected node that gets created in the hierarchy. Don't suppose it matters but the other deformers have this.
Thanks for your help guys, really appreciate it!! XD
