Lead Game Artist - Future Games of London

 Future Games of London is an independent studio that designs, develops and publishes Smartphone and Tablet games. Founded in September 2009, FGOL create wholly owned and original IP which by March 2016 had achieved over 280 million downloads worldwide following the success of Hungry Shark Evolution. The long-awaited Hungry Shark World, which was released May 2016 is already a great success with over 10 million downloads worldwide within its first week.

FGOL operate worldwide on a F2P model, via the acquisition, retention and monetization of a sustainable player base whilst insuring their satisfaction, fun and engagement with the virtual world we have built for them to share with their friends.

The studio is looking for a passionate and talented Lead Game Artist to add to our growing team. This position primarily entails leading a small art team, environment art, but ideally the candidate will have a good level of ability in at least one or two other skill sets.

We are offering a full-time position in London and we are looking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible.

 Experience

  • Minimum 4 years industry experience working on console and/or mobile projects

  • High and Low Poly Modelling of in-game assets

  • Level lighting and population

  • Understanding of optimization for mobile platforms

  • Ability to hand paint texture maps, if required

  • Must have proven experience of line management of a small team

Plus

  • Character Modelling and Texturing

  • Rigging and Animation

  • High end lighting/rendering for presentation and marketing images

  • Technical Art

  • Experience with managing the outsourcing of art assets.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of Unity

  • 3ds Max, Photoshop and Zbrush

  • Confident working in a small team

  • Ability to prioritise work-flow and deliver on time

  • Familiarity with SCRUM / Agile practices
