I made a MP9 skin for a school project. The task was to make a 70's Sci-Fi skin.
I decided to go for a Hippie gun with some odd lazer beams.
Here is the reference material I used to pick the colours and the flowery design:
Using Adobe Illustrator I made a brush for photoshop:
And using the colourpalette, the brush and the gradient tool I created this monstrosity:
