Thicken Tool Overlaps ``inner edges``. Alternative workflow ?

Hey guys,

I am working on some hard surface parts and need to "thicken out my blocked in plane mesh. The thicken tool/bevel tool give horrible overlapping edges which are a timesink to correct. Are there any other ways to do this ?

Run Mesh Cleanup command before Thickening. Make sure your surface is continuous and has no irregularities. Try to uncheck 'Sharp' in Thicken tool options. Give it a bigger Max. Smoothing angle in thicken tool options. Usually if you went overboard things gonna start to overlap.
