Solved: Quixel SUITE 2.2.0 not working with Photoshop CC 2015.5

My Photoshop has just updated to the latest version and since then Quixel wont work. I've updated Quixel to the latest version but this had no effect.  i think it is not allowing Quixel to take control of Photoshop. I have done the process that Quixel says where you run Photoshop as Admin then close it then run Quixel but still no change. launching Quixel will launch PS but once open comes up with the message saying to do the run PS as admin, but nothing i do gets rid of it and allows me to use Quixel.  (I have given an image of what is shown when trying to use Quixel but as mentioned if i follow the process that is outlined it still has not effect and i get the message every time.)

has quixel been updated to work with the new Photoshop version? could this be the issue?

Quixel is a company, not a software package.

NDO, DDO, and 3DO should all work with Photoshop as it currently exists. Can you specifically list the exact actions you're taking, step-by-step, that leads to this error?

ok. 
Step 1) click on quixel exe to run program. it starts up photoshop as usual and loads up the presets needed.
Step 2) i click any of the NDO, DDO or 3DO buttons and no matter which one i click that message pops up.
Step 3) i follow what the message says and i run photoshop as admin then close photoshop
Step 4) i try to run Quixel again. but just as before the message pops up when i click any of the Quixel buttons.
Step 5) i re-Installed Quixel but still get the same message. (i have also restarted numerous times.
Step 6) i Did a registry fix in case it was something in windows registry stopping it but that also had no effect.

I used Quixel last night and worked fine like any other time. the only thing that has changed over night is Photoshop has updated from 2015 to 2015.5 and now im having these issues.

We're pretty sure this isn't a 2015.5 issue as other users have it installed and have not reported this back yet, so for now, it appears to be localized to your machine.

Could you attempt to run Quixel SUITE as an administrator and see if that clears this up?

Scratch my last reply. Just got a ton of reports in about the new 2015 update. I'm recommending rolling back your Photoshop install for now. We've fixed this issue on our end but it won't be ready for public release for a couple of days at minimum.

Yeah Im getting the same issue with the update on Photoshop as well. Stopped working for me too. Any update on when the patch will hit for Quixel?

Can this be the reason i couldn't start 3do? the other ones start ok, but 3do just hangs at 80%. Just ignore this post if it is something unrelated.

I got the same issue here, even if i run Photoshop CC 2015.5 and Quixel Suite as well as the administrator.

You can visit Quixel Live Support to grab the 2015.5 compatibility pre-release patch, or you can downgrade to an earlier version of 2015 until the official patch is out.

Hmm I have just purchased a new PC running Windows 10 Have downloaded and installed Photoshop CC 2015.5 and Quixel Suite. When I install the Quixel Suite it tells me that  Visual basic is already installed. When I launch The suite Photoshop starts and then follows as the rest of this post. How do I get the Pre release patch?

Sorry, but where on the facebook page can I find it? Do I have to join the group for the patch? (I did join, but it says pending)
I just downloaded the trial, does it work with the latest version of photoshop (even if I manage to install the pre-release patch)? Right now quixel suite doesn't work at all.

You do need to join the group - approval is usually within a few minutes.

{{Quixel_SUITE_2.2.0_Patch.exe from the main download page didn't work. I get the same error. Also every time I tried reinstalling, the Microsoft Visual C++ keeps detecting newer versions and cancelling. At the end of setup it also doesn't launch when you click 'finish'. Someone mentioned there's a 2.2.1 patch, I'm assuming on the facebook page that I haven't been accepted into yet.}}

Downgrading to Photoshop 2014 worked for me.
