Background of the Story:
In a galaxy far away into the future, there is a galactic company named Galactic Repairs. Galactic Repairs is a big company, dealing in many business areas one is to extract and harness a planets energy. They have placed beacons on several alien planets with the reason to gain better radio communication. But sometimes the beacons malfunction, and someone has to go down and do the dirty work of repairing the beacons. Galactic Repairs teleports personal though portals, within a portal room where the engineers that does the job goes through. Unfortunately the super high advanced portal function it's not precise so the person in question has to take themselves to the beacon by foot.
The first engineer was sent down on the planet with the malfunctioning beacon following protocol. But after a while the signal was lost and Galactic Repairs could not get in contact with the engineer. So a backup engineer (YOU) was sent to fix the beacon meanwhile Galactic Repairs tries to get into contact with the first engineer.
Main storyline:
You're walking in the portal room towards the portal that is opened in front of you. In the speakers you hear (or the player reads) the mission from Galactic Repairs while you're approaching the sparking light from the portals widened entrance. Once on the other side he sees a mystic dark planet with dark rocks covered with neon energy flowing and pulsating in the ground, as if the ground was living. He sees what direction to go, pointed out in his map. But just after a small walk, he sees a metal piece town off and a radio by it. The radio broken and it's playing a noise. “" This must be the radio the other engineer carried. Why did he lose it, where is he?" (OR by having him say it out loud by voice.) He makes his way through a the terrain to see the body of the dead engineer laying on the ground. He report back home of the tragedy. The dead engineer was carrying a gun. He uses the gun to shoot a crack in the stone to make his way though. On the other side a stone golem comes to life and walks against him. He shoots to kill it. “What was that, how did it get here….was it the golem that killed the first engineer?” He thinks while he starts to walk up a big hill. On the top he reaches a viewpoint where he sees out of the landscape filled with GP pumps. “This can't be right….there is too much extraction of the energy...it’s going to cause imbalance” (continues from here).
