"New" thread indicator is now green and de-emphasized.
I'm digging this, I would still rather unread threads be green, but looking at the css visited and un-visited links share the same properties, so a simple css fix isn't possible. Step in the right direction though.
The change in the colors of the "New" icon are monumental for me... thank you... IDK why that bugged me so much, but the change is relieving to say the least.
Love the updates, but I definitely agree with Pedro's feedback above. My only issues at this point are what he is suggesting there, the huge OP avatar for the first post, and the fact that we don't see both thread author and last poster on the thread forum pages. awesome work so far, pumped to see all these updates.
Agreed with this. Its pushed all the way to the left because of the sizing needed for the giant OP avatar, which I dont feel the need for it to be big and on the right. Feels odd when everyone else is on the left.
Maybe just add something like "ORIGINAL POST" next to the OP's name instead of the big avatar? Or a special color and everytime they post in a thread that color shows up so you know who made the post? That would be wonderful for Pimping and Previewing threads where you will always easily be able to tell when the OP responds/makes a new post.

It might be nice to have a different tag for a thread you've read which now has a new reply. But I think that's what Favorites are for.

The Re-Tightening Vol II
We rearranged a few of the less-used forums, pushing the active forums closer to the top. Above the fold, as they say.

Hope this helps!
