A project I worked on during my free time. I used Maya, Zbrush, and Substance Painter. I couldn't figure out a way to create a decent "cloth" like texture so I'm not that satisfied with the textures. If you guys have any tips or feedback to help improve it, I'll really appreciate it.

    • The stitch down the front-center unrealistically fades into a smooth surface - I would either continue the stitch-fold below the logo, to the bill, or completely remove it.
    • Lighting the object will allow its normal maps (if any) and the rest of the shader to better define the material surfaces you're working to figure out.
    • Add some height to the FUFU logo patch so it pops off the grey material's surface, the way it is now, it appears as if it were a thin plastic or paint.
    • There is a slight seam on the back on the center-back fold.
    • The threading in the cap's small red vent holes and the plastic snap-band, which are focal areas and fun details to define appear under-defined.
    • The back opening bells outward in an unorthodox fashion. The sides that stitch directly to the snap-bands don't usually have a curve.

    • Lastly, the bill could be at least twice as thick.

    Keep it up!

Thanks for the help. I'll definitely spend time fixing the things you mentioned.

This is the updated version of the hat. I took the advice from killnpc so hopefully it improved. I do think it's far from finished so any critiques and feedback is greatly appreciated.
