So this has been a problem for quite a while now. Whenever I go into the dynamask editor there is always 50% grey on the model which pretty much ruins the purpose of even attempting to edit the mask.
Clearing does not clear the grey. I can still paint over things too but that also covers the mask from the photoshop filters.

This issue should be resolved in SUITE 2.2. Are you on the latest version?
Maybe a clean reinstall should do it.
If you look at the quixel window to the left you can see in the dynamask icon that it looks grey.
Its pretty much impossible to texture with this bug.
If you could, kindly, please e-mail our SUITE programmer your output_log.txt files located in *\Quixel SUITE 2.0\x64\3DO\3DO2_Data - his e-mail address is sameer@quixel.se
This will greatly assist in troubleshooting this problem.
edit: Oh, I forget polycount doesn't update new posts automatically, sending now.
And yeah inverting seems to make the grey black but also makes the white into grey
I've downloaded the patch (v.2.2.1) but still getting the grey mask issue.
has this worked fro anyone else?
I've noticed some strange behavior on my machine which might have something to do with the issue?
In order to prevent my masks turning grey I close 3DO before editing the mask in DDO but everytime I do this the 3DO window opens anyway. Its not active (the 3DO icon isn't triggered) and the window doesn't update. Is this something you've experienced your end?
Just to clarify after installing the latest patch if I open a mask (with 3DO open) then apply mask without making any changes it still turns grey?
Hope you guys manage to fix this soon as i'm really looking forward to playing with the mask painting tool in 3DO!
(update): also when the DDO window opens its in full PBR shading mode and not showing just the mask. If I force refresh the DDO window it still brakes the mask.
thanks
