Station Support - Sci-Fi Character

Hi,

I’ve been working on this model for some time and I wanted to share the progress. I was going to leave it as an untextured sculpt but I thought it would be better to put some colors on. I created a less dense mesh to bake the normal maps. The model was made with 3ds Max and ZBrush and was textured in Substance Painter and Photoshop. The renders were made with Marmoset Toolbag and BPR passes in ZBrush, composited in Photoshop.
I hope you like it. Here’s some flavor text that goes with the model.

“In the next few years we shall see ourselves cross the doorstep of our solar home and venture into interstellar space.”

The time has come. Station 11 began as a fragile framework of polysteel foam at the turn of the 27th century. Now, after 78 years of work, it is almost ready for its longest journey. In less than three years it will be fully capable of reaching 98% the speed of light and go beyond the Solar Rim. Mankind has been preparing for almost a millennium. Jim Kolinsky is making his routine checks on one of the targeting modules. He’ll be one of the last solarborn.
