Sorry if the topic title is confusing, i wasn't sure how to word this.
I'm quite new to 3d and i have a question:
I wanted to make a model of garlic braid, low poly, with normal and occlusion maps.
I thought id make a high poly model of a garlic and assemble it in 3ds max (see picture for example) so that it makes a braid. Then id export whole braid to Topogun, make a low poly, bake maps... and - here is the problem, how would i texture such model? For texturing i usually use quixel/photoshop but im not quite sure how good that would turn out? Is there a way to.. bake maps from high poly models.. or something? Is this even good way to go about doing such thing?
Also, on my low poly model (with normal/occlusion maps) you can see very visible 'jump' where seam is. Is there a way to make it less visible/bumpy?
Id appreciate any help/tips
