Hey everyone, I am new to polycount, and I am very excited to be part of the community. I am not a very experienced 3D artist, and I am looking for some advice on something I am working on right now.

I am working on a pair of arms for a FPS game I would like to put together. I sculpted the basic forms of the arms in Zbrush and then exported them to Maya to finish up the model because Maya is my program of choice.

What I am struggling with is, I don't know really know where to go from here. As far as the design goes that is. I am going for a futuristic soldier look, and I can't quite make up my mind on how the armor should look on his arms and hands. I can probably just give it a texture now and be done with it, but there is nothing interesting about the model. There is no detail that suggest he is wearing anything. Ideally, if the model is going to look good in the game engine (UE4), shouldn't there be a nice mix of materials on there that create a ratio of specularity and roughness so you can capture some of the lighting effects on the model?

Maybe even some Cloth effects that interact with the environment using Nvidia's Physx Labs?  As you can see I am not sure what I should I do, and can certainly use some feedback for ideas. Thanks for your time?

Here is the model, you can see how plain it is right now:
