The XCOM 2 Environment & Concept Artists have teamed up to bring you an environment/concept art themed Art dump! I am extremely humbled to work with an awesome team of artists! Hope you all enjoy!
My Name is Justin Rodriguez, on XCOM 2 I worked as a senior environment artist. During production I worked on asset / texture creation, building kit & systems, world building, and finalizing the Small Town and Slums biomes. Thank you for taking a look!
Hey everyone, my name is Neal Jany. I worked as a Senior Environment artist on XCOM2. Most of my work was focused on the Alien architecture and props you see more frequently towards the end of the game, as well as the new Alien UFO. Thanks for checking it out!
I was given the opportunity to create all the rooms in the Avenger. This was such a blast to work on! Was stoked to work with such a talented, awesome team.
Hey guys, My name is Morgan Hill and I joined the project on the last year of development, but was able to work on the wilderness environments and some of the urban levels as well.
Hey everybody, my name is Andrew Griffin. I'm a Senior Environment Artist at Firaxis Games and worked on XCOM 2. Here's a bunch of the work I did on the project. Hope you like it!
Hello! My name is Brian Theodore and I was a lead environment artist on XCOM 2. Working with such talented artists here at Firaxis has been a blessing and an amazing experience. In this post you will find the contributions that I made on X2, as well as some from our contractors. Thanks for looking.
Hello everyone! I'm Piero Macgowan, Senior Concept Artist on
XCOM 2. Here is some of the environment concept design I did for the game, from key art to mood paintings to prop sketches and callouts. Wanted to show and represent the day-to-day dynamics of doing concept art for games. It really was a great collaborative effort, as you can tell from the great 3D stuff in the rest of the thread! Happy to add to the collection You can see more work on my site and blog at www.pieromacgowan.com Cheers!
Hey guys, brilliant stuff, awesome art, awfully nice of you to post so many picture AND at the same time, BUT since you went through the trouble to post all of this I feel I have to ask... Is there a reason why we're seeing less and less wireframe shots in art dumps? If I dare the analogy, a game art aficionado looking at a wireframe-less art dump is like a pervert watching a porn movie where actors perform in full underwear This being said, really liked Xcom2 at spend a great deal of time just checking out the assets in game great stuff.
Crazy work guys, i would love to see some wires on some of the props. Good job.
I think we could get some wires of the props rendered out, I know a few of us have another round of images coming too - (I have a lot of interior renders from the slums and small town areas coming too) Let me talk to the environment guys tomorrow and see what we can do!

rip fauxNormal Finished the game recently, what an incredible world you guys and gals have made. The consistency in the quality and detail is pretty breathtaking. Fantastic work
Awesome work man, I love it! Such good quality content. I cant wait to see more So much Inspiration now. So wish i could work in the CGI industry, i just wish i had more experience. instead i work as aerial surveyor using Lidar & imagery to create 3d simulated environments for power lines, and 3d maps roads and railways. maybe i could integrate my skills over to 3d modelling. . . Anyway keep up the cool work, loving it
