3D Printed Tauntaun Skull - SLS Nylon Test ... w/ BONUS

null

Hello Everyone! I sculpted this Tauntaun-inspired skull to help promote my current Kickstarter campaign 'Skull Wars'. The gist of the campaign is that I'm building 15 skulls that are inspired by the characters and creatures of Star Wars. From Yoda, all the way to Jar Jar, I've tried to keep it interesting. - This skull was the sample that I made for our backers to see and get an idea of how the skulls looked alongside your standard 3 3/4 in Star Wars figs.

This was printed via Shapeways using their White, Strong & Flexible nylon material. ...I like the results. I will be stressing better detail retention in the future iterations, but I think the it worked pretty well as a round 1 test.

You can See The Kickstarter Campaign and additional skull concept art HEREhttp://kck.st/1VJnV5B We only have 3 days left and need help spreading the word.

If you're interested I'll post some actual sculpting time-lapses of the various other skulls. I use Freeform and ZBrush. ~Q
